HK youth delegation visits hi-tech city in central China

  A delegation of some 150 cross-sector young people from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Wednesday visited Wuhan, a metropolis in Central China along the Yangtze River, to learn about the latest about the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

  The Yangtze River Economic Belt is a major national strategy to boost development in Central China.

  The group made the visit on the third day of their five-day visit to the mainland.

  It was the first time for many delegation members to visit the provincial capital city in central China. They were surprised by the advanced hi-tech industry and sound incubation system of the centuries-old city.

  Members visited the Optics Valley of China, the country’s largest optical communication device research, development and manufacture zone and the Hubei Provincial Museum in Wuhan, one of the country’s eight best-known museums with a large amount of State-level historic relics.
